God Is Removing Your Shame
Some of you have experienced intense rejection because of your faith in God or because the people around you are jealous of the gifts and anointing God gave you. Someone may have lied on you and tried to annihilate your character. Others of you may have done something wrong and repented, but the people around you want to keep their foot on top of you and remind you of your past.
I have good news for you today! God told me to tell you He is removing your shame. He is taking away the reproach from your life once and for all. The word “reproach” means “shame, disgrace, to be scorned, to be taunted by the enemy.”
God Will Give You Victory
In 1 Samuel 17, the giant Philistine, Goliath, had taunted the armies of Israel for forty days and nights. For almost six weeks, he humiliated them, but on the fortieth day, David arrived at the Israelite camp. His father, Jesse, had sent him to bring food to his brothers, but this errand was a divine setup. God used Jesse like He did Joseph’s father, Jacob, to thrust David into his purpose.
“And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, ‘What shall be done to the man that kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?’” (1 Samuel 17:26).
David had just been freshly anointed by the prophet Samuel. When he heard Goliath defaming the armies of Israel, the anointing of the Holy Spirit came upon that seventeen-year-old shepherd boy. He told Goliath, “You come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day will the Lord deliver you into my hand” (1 Samuel 17:45-46).
David defeated the giant with a slingshot and a stone. When the Philistine army saw that their champion fighter was dead, they fled. And the Israelites plundered the Philistine camp. God removed their shame and gave them the victory.
God Has Favored You
In Joshua 5, after the Lord brought the children of Israel over the Jordan River, He told Joshua, “This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you” (Joshua 5:9). The children of Israel had been enslaved by the Egyptians for 400 years. The Egyptians had treated them brutally and abused them, but God turned the tables in Israel’s favor and delivered them from Pharaoh and his army. In fact, by the time God was done fighting on Israel’s behalf, Pharaoh and the Egyptians were put to utter shame.
Double For Your Trouble
God said in Isaiah 54, “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more” (Isaiah 54:4). Glory to God! The Holy Spirit is talking to someone reading this newsletter. God is taking away your shame. He is removing your pain. He is going to bless you to the point that you will not even remember your former misery.
He said in Isaiah 61, “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them” (Isaiah 61:7).
God blessed Joseph to the point that he named his first son Manasseh, saying, “For God has made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house” (Genesis 41:51). God removed Hannah’s shame and gave her a son. She was barren and her rival, Peninah, taunted her, but God had a purpose, and Hannah vowed to dedicate her first child to the Lord. God heard her prayer, and gave her a son, the prophet Samuel. God removed Elizabeth’s shame, and she gave birth to John the Baptist.
Pray With Me
I want to pray over you right now. You may have been despised, scorned, taunted, talked about, walked on, and called everything but a child of God. This shame has been hanging over you, but there is power in the name of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is restoring your dignity. He is taking away your disgrace. The people who looked down on you are about to look up to you. The people who avoided you are about to come running to you. The tables are turning in your favor. God is bringing you into a season of promotion. He is about to elevate you for His divine purpose, and He will get the glory out of your life.
God Gets All the Glory
Isn’t it wonderful when God does what only He can do? There’s a limit to what we can do for ourselves or our loved ones, but there is no limit to what God can do for us. While we often like to handle things on our own, it’s when we can’t do it ourselves that God is most greatly praised. May we learn to come to the end of ourselves much faster so that we can discover the beginning of God.
We’re so thankful for the ongoing support of our partners. You have made it possible for us to launch Miracle Healing Center, to remain active on social media, to preach the unadulterated gospel to millions worldwide, and to travel and perform God’s Word in many nations. We could not do any of this on our own, but through the empowerment of God and through our partners, His obedient servants, we have been able to see thousands of miracle healings and life-dedications to Christ! He gets all the glory!
Partners, keep this in mind as you give. Your obedience to the voice of God advances the kingdom every day. God has put many goals before us. Soon, we’ll share with you about an upcoming trip to a Muslim nation in the 10/40 belt. What you give will help us continue the work He’s called us to do and the work He’s calling us to do as we grow forward in Him. Thank you for your obedience to His leading.
