Try Again

Try again! That is the word the Holy Spirit gave me for the groundbreaking service of our church, Miracle Healing Center in McKinney, Texas. The powerful presence of the Holy Spirit flooded the atmosphere as Pastor Aimee and I, our team, the McKinney community, friends, family, our precious partners from all over the states and world, and our online audience gathered with us to celebrate our church launch.

Ministers Alvin and Joy Slaughter blessed us beyond measure with anointed praise and worship. And God confirmed the preaching of His Word with signs, wonders, and miracles. When I made the call for salvation, ten people came forward to the altar to give their lives to Christ.

We are so excited! This harvest of breakthrough is just the beginning of many blessings God has in store for our church and those dedicated to supporting us. And we are forever grateful to you because we could not do this without you. Thank you for believing in us and standing with us in faith. God is rewarding all the labor, every prayer, and every gift sown into this ministry as we steward what he has entrusted to us so that someone may experience a personal encounter with Christ.

GOD'S WORD NEVER RETURNS VOID

Now back to my launch sermon. In Luke 5, Jesus was preaching by the lake of Gennesaret, and a great crowd surrounded Him and pressed on Him to hear the Word. These people did not care that Jesus was not in a fancy synagogue like the Pharisees. They were hungry for the power of God, so they gathered by the lake to hear Him.

“And (Jesus) saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets” (Luke 5:2 KJV). These fishermen had fished all night and caught nothing, but Jesus took notice of them. No doubt, these men were discouraged, but they were getting their nets ready to try again.

One of these fishermen was Simon Peter. Jesus entered his boat. He entered amidst Peter’s emptiness, failure, and disappointment, and when the Word of God enters your boat, miracles are bound to happen. God’s word never returns void (Isaiah 55:11).

GOD WILL USE WHAT YOU HAVE

“And (Jesus) prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And He sat down, and taught the people out of the ship” (Luke 5:3). When Peter let Jesus use his boat, he did not realize he was sowing into the gospel. Now God was about to bless his seed with a sudden harvest.

After Jesus was done preaching, He told Peter, “Launch out into the deep, and let down your NETS for a draught” (Luke 5:4). When Jesus first took notice of the fishermen, He saw them washing their nets, so He knew exactly what resources they had at their disposal to accomplish His instructions. God will often ask you to use what you already have to bless you.

Stop looking at what you do not have and focus on what you do have because God will take your five loaves and two fish and feed a multitude of people. He will use the rod in your hand to split the sea. He will use your empty boat and empty nets to give you a blessing that you will not have room enough to receive. You may not have much, but if Jesus is in your boat, you have everything you need to get your breakthrough.

LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP

Jesus saw that the disciples had their nets ready, and He told them to “launch out into the deep.” God is challenging someone to think big. Don’t think shallow. Gather your nets, exploit your resources, and launch out into the deep. You are in the vicinity of a miracle. You are on the brink of a breakthrough.

You may have fished all night and caught nothing. You may have gone out, cast your vision, and failed. But the Holy Spirit is stirring you to try again. He sees you washing your nets. He sees you preparing to receive a harvest, and He will reward your determination. Launch out into the deep. You will succeed this time.

A BOAT-SINKING BREAKTHROUGH

Peter was doubtful of Jesus’s instructions. Jesus was literally telling him to return to the exact spot where he caught nothing. “And Simon answering said unto Him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at Thy word I will let down the NET.” Peter did not fully obey Jesus’ word. Jesus had told Peter to let down his NETS, but Peter decided he had worked too hard cleaning his nets, so he would only test the waters and let down one net.

“And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake” (Luke 5:6). There were so many fish that Peter’s net broke. Who is ready for a net-breaking, boat-sinking miracle? The fishes are coming! Are your nets ready? “Prove me now,” says the Lord, if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing you will not have room enough to receive (Malachi 3:10).

Peter may not have fully obeyed the Lord’s instructions, but God was merciful. God may be asking you to do something that is stretching your faith but dare to take Him at His word. He will not ask you to do something He has not equipped you to do. Trust him. He will not disappoint your faith.

“And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink” (Luke 5:7). When you obey God, He will bless you and everybody connected to you. You and the people around you are about to reap a harvest for your hard work. Your labor has not been in vain. God has taken notice of you and will reward you with a blessing that is pressed down, shaken together, and running over (Luke 6:38).

TRY AGAIN

Never give up. You will get a breakthrough this time. You may have fished all night and caught nothing, but the Word has just stepped into your boat. The Miracle Worker has taken notice of you, and He is telling you to use what you have and take a step of faith. Take God at His word and launch out into the deep. Think big. God will reward your confidence in Him with a blessing that will overtake you and everybody connected to you. You are about to receive a harvest that you will not have enough room to receive. Try again.

THE HARVEST OF YOUR SEED

This past weekend’s launch service at Miracle Healing Center was the harvest of your financial giving. Your seed helped bring ten new souls into the kingdom of God! That is an incredible return on your investment, don’t you think? Lives saved from an eternal hell – and all the men, women and children whose lives will be touched by their new passion for Christ!! This is what you can expect when you’re sowing into God’s plans and purposes. $75 is only $75 until its placed in the hands of Christ. Then your $75 can become a miracle tool that brings an eternal harvest!

We want to encourage you to always give generously. Whether it’s here, to your local church, or to other faith-filled ministries, give generously to God’s plans and watch how He takes what you have and turns it into something that will humble you because of the great way in which He will use your giving.

If you feel led to give today, here are the ways you can sow a seed:
