God's Word Will Come to Pass

When God gives you a word, you can stake your life on it. Why? God cannot lie. He cannot fail. If he made you a promise, he will fulfill it. The Bible says, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19 KJV).

God said, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).

What has God promised you? Did he tell you your spouse will be saved? Has he given you a word that he will deliver your children? Maybe you are believing God to heal you or give you a better house or job. Whatever God told you, don’t give up on that word. Hold on to it because it will surely come to pass. “Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” (Habakkuk 2:3).

There is an appointed time set by God to fulfill his word in your life, and no devil in hell can stop it from coming to pass. God prophesied the birth of Christ almost 700 years before Jesus was born, and there was nothing the devil could do about it.

CHRIST'S BIRTH PROPHESIED

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14). Mary, the Mother of Jesus, was not even born yet, and God showed Isaiah that she would conceive the Messiah through the power of the Holy Spirit. That could only be God.

Isaiah also prophesied, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

Several hundred years later, these prophecies were fulfilled, and the angel, Gabriel, announced to Mary that she had found favor with God and would be the mother of the Christ. “How can this be?” Mary asked the angel, “I am a virgin.” When God begins to reveal his plan for our lives, most of us are like Mary. We don’t how it is going to work out, but with God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:34).

God’s word came to pass, and Mary, a virgin, became pregnant with the Messiah. It was a miracle. When Jesus was born, a big star stopped over the place where he was, and angels announced his birth to shepherds, and there was nothing the enemy could do about it. When King Herod tried to kill the baby Jesus, God protected him because God has more power than the devil.

The weapon may be formed against you, but it will not prosper (Isaiah 54:17). God’s word over your life will be fulfilled, so don’t give up on God’s promise. He hasn’t forgotten about you. His word will come to pass. At the right time, everything he promised you will happen. Trust him. God will reward your faith.
