You Can Do the Impossible
Are you feeling unqualified to do what God is asking you to do? You may feel like there is absolutely no way you can do what God is requiring of you. But that is not a bad place to be. You never want to be full of yourself. It is okay to be honest with God and tell him you cannot do this task without his help because, without him, we can do nothing. But with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
DIE TO SELF
After Moses died, Joshua took his place as the leader of the children of Israel. And the Lord told him, “Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel” (Joshua 1:2 KJV).
No doubt, Joshua was overwhelmed. He was there when God told Moses to stretch his rod, split the Red Sea, and then close it, drowning Pharaoh and the Egyptian army. He was there when God spoke to Moses and rained manna from heaven. He was there when Moses spoke to the rock and water gushed out. Some of the most amazing miracles in the Bible occurred through Moses’s ministry.
Joshua had some big shoes to fill. I can imagine how unqualified he must have felt. But feeling unqualified is a good thing. Joshua was humble, and the Bible says, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” (1 Peter 5:6).
Kathryn Kuhlman used to say, “All of self and none of Thee. Some of self and some of Thee. None of self and all of Thee.” The more you die to yourself, the more God can work through your life, unhindered by your flesh and pride.
GOD'S WILL HAS BOUNDARIES
And the Lord encouraged Joshua, telling him, “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast” (Joshua 1:3-4).
God literally marked out the territory Joshua was to reign over, and he has given each of us boundaries as to what he expects us to accomplish. You cannot just jump up and expect to be successful at everything you do because you will only thrive in the areas God has marked out for you to conquer. God’s will has boundaries.
You may have experienced failure in certain areas of your life because maybe that was not God’s will for you. For instance, some people may be failing in business because God called them to pastor or vice versa. But when you find your place where you begin to thrive, grow spiritually, and understand things you never understood before, that is a sign that you have found God’s will for your life.
BE STRONG
So, God showed Joshua what land he was to conquer, and he told him, “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” (Joshua 1:5).
Don’t be afraid. God is on your side, and he will not fail you. Keep on standing. The task ahead of you may be great, but the truth is God sometimes gives us more than we can handle, so we can cry out to him and depend on him because he is the source of our victory.
He is telling you like he told Joshua, “Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9). You are not alone. God is faithful. He is on your side, and he will fulfill his promise and purpose for your life. Be strong! With God’s help, you can do the impossible!
WITH GOD, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
We’re just weeks away from expanding our borders through the Miracle Healing Center in McKinney, Texas. The task of birthing a church is great, but as we discussed, God is the source of our victory. We can depend on Him – especially because it is His will that this church is born!
We invite you to help us share Miracle Healing Center with the city of McKinney. Let’s work together to pack out the auditorium and see men and women touched by the power of God in a way they may not have experienced before. Your giving today of whatever God puts on your heart will help us throw the nets wide, to bring in the greatest catch that we can for our launch service on May 21st .
As you give, we hope you’ll consider traveling to McKinney to witness the harvest of your giving for yourself. There’s something that happens when you see the altars flood with people, when you see lives transformed by the power of God and the Holy Spirit at work through the manifestation of miracles. You no longer doubt that what you gave made a difference – and that’s what we want for you. We want you to have confidence that you’re giving into good soil, and good soil always produces good fruit!
