Supernatural Secrets to Success
The Bible is like a roadmap to your life. If you want to know how to fulfill or find your divine destiny, read the Word of God, and the Lord will speak to you. Whether you are believing to be successful in your business, relationships, education, or on your job, God has the answer for your breakthrough in His Word that will impact every area of your life.
The Bible says in Psalm 1, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful” (Psalm 1:1 KJV). Ungodly counsel is advice from people who are not saved and not full of the Holy Spirit. Their advice is immoral and goes against the Word of God.
The scornful are prideful, haughty people who think they’re better than everyone else. The Bible says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18). But “blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5).
So, the person who does not follow the advice of the wicked and is humble, that person is blessed. “His delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night” (Psalm 1:2). The law of the Lord is the written Word of God. Meditating on the Word of God means thinking about the Scriptures. It means to ponder or mutter the verses that the Holy Spirit impresses on your heart.
As you meditate on the Word of God, think about it, and ponder on the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit will begin to give you divine revelation. He will illuminate your mind, which means that God will cause you to understand his wisdom from the Scripture and how to apply that wisdom to any given situation. He will show you the next step in your life, whether you need to take the job or reject it, accept the contract or decline it.
The person who mediates on the Word of God day and night, “he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” (Psalm 1:3).
The term “planted” represents stability. If you are unstable, it is because you are not meditating on the Word of God. If you take your time to study the Word of God, meditate on the Scriptures and wait on the Lord, the Holy Spirit will show you the direction for your life and cause you to prosper.
Many people in the kingdom of God are prospering. Everything they touch seems to turn to gold, but it is not because they are lucky or God favors them more than you. That person is spending time with God and in his Word.
You may be busy working a job and taking care of your family, but if you make time to spend in the Word of God, you will spend less time struggling with how to solve your problems and more time actually solving them. If you have to get up early or stay up late, make the sacrifice. The breakthrough you will receive from spending time in the Word of God will be more than worth it.
Remember Martha and Mary. Martha was busy moving up and down, worrying about the dinner she was preparing for Jesus and his disciples, but Mary was sitting at his feet, listening to the words he taught.
Martha was upset that Mary wasn’t helping her, but Jesus told Martha, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:41-42 NLT).
Listen to what the book of Proverbs says about the Word of God. “When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee” (Proverbs 6:22 KJV).
Have you ever been driving your car or listening to one of our morning prayer broadcasts, and suddenly the Holy Spirit brought a Scripture to your remembrance? That Scripture took on new meaning, and it was exactly what you needed at that moment. The Holy Spirit is talking to you through the Word of God.
Some people get frustrated and say God is not answering their prayers. But God is trying to answer their prayers. If they just spent time in the Word, they would get their answer. But they make bad decisions and live with terrible consequences because they refuse to get alone with God and read his Word.
Proverbs 6 continues to say, “For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life” (verse 23). King David said in Psalm 119, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (verse 105). David was not successful by accident. He took time to meditate on the Word of God, and as a result, the Lord brought clarity and direction to his life.
When you take time to study and meditate on the Word of God, the Holy Spirit “will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13). The truth is the Word of God (John 17:17). The Holy Spirit will use the Scriptures to lead, direct, and guide you.
God gave Joshua the secret to success when he became the leader of the children of Israel after Moses died. He said, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).
So, God was telling Joshua, you have the power to make your way successful. If you will just set time aside to meditate on the Word of God, the Holy Spirit will reveal strategies to you that will blow your mind.
There is no shortcut to success. Do you want wisdom? Read the Word of God. Do you want to know how to get out of debt, get a promotion, or take the right job offer? Your answer is in the Word of God. And when you apply the secrets the Holy Spirit shows you from the Word of God, you will make your way prosperous and experience good success in every area of your life.
