Nothing Can Stop God's Plan
Whenever you are close to your breakthrough, whenever you approach that moment when God is about to revolutionize your life, all hell begins to break loose. The Bible says as the time drew near when God would fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of the children of Israel increased in Egypt (Acts 7:17). And when Pharaoh saw that the Israelites outnumbered the Egyptians, he enslaved them and ordered his people to throw their baby boys into the Nile River. Right when God was about to fulfill his promise to Abraham, all hell broke loose in their lives. I know it’s tough when the enemy starts to come against you on all sides but let that be a signal to you that God is about to do something supernatural in your life.
So, during this time, a woman named Jochebed gave birth to Moses, and she saw he was special and kept him hidden. God allowed Moses to be born during the worst time, right when Pharaoh was killing all the Hebrew boys. The devil cannot scare God. God knows how to turn the tables in your favor. He will raise you up right in Pharaoh’s palace and use you to defeat him. That’s the kind of God we serve. He will prepare a table for you right in the presence of your enemies (Psalm 23:5).
When Jesus was born, God placed a big star in the sky and had angels announce his Son’s birth. And there was nothing the devil could do about it because he can’t stop God’s plan from coming to pass. The Bible says the weapon may be formed, but it won’t prosper (Isaiah 54:17). When you are connected to God’s plan, the enemy can’t touch you. The devil told God in Job 1 he couldn’t even get to Job because he had a hedge of protection around him. And God has a hedge of protection around you. His presence is surrounding you. His angels are camping around you (Psalm 34:7).
So, Moses was born during the worst time. And when Moses’s mother realized she could not keep him hidden, she put him in a basket and put the basket in the Nile River. She put him in the Lord’s hands. Moses’s sister, Miriam, stood at a distance, watching to see what would happen to him (Exodus 2:4 NLT). “Soon Pharaoh’s daughter came down to bathe in the river…” (verse 5). Look at God. It just so happened that right when Jochebed placed her son in the river, Pharaoh’s daughter was on her way to take a bath.
“When the princess saw the basket among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it for her. When she opened it, she saw the baby. The little boy was crying, and she felt sorry for him. ‘This must be one of the Hebrew children,’ she said” (verses 5-6). The princess fell in love with Moses, and Miriam approached her, asking if she wanted one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for her. “Yes, do!’ the princess replied” (verse 8 ). So Miriam got her mother. “Take this baby and nurse him for me,’ the princess told the baby’s mother. ‘I will pay you for your help.’ So the woman took her baby home and nursed him” (verse 9). Isn’t God amazing?
This is miraculous. This doesn’t even make sense. God used Pharaoh’s money, the devil’s resources, to raise up Moses. And one day, God would use Moses to overcome Pharaoh and his army and lead the children of Israel out of Egyptian slavery. Moses was connected to God’s plan. Moses was sent to deliver someone in Egypt, who was the forefather of the Messiah. Moses was directly connected to the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. And when you are connected to God’s plan, God will preserve you. I stopped by to encourage you going into 2022 to make sure you are connected to God’s plan. The most important plan is the Gospel of Christ. Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). When you are connected to God’s plan, no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). When are connected to God’s plan, all things will work together for your good (Romans 8:28). Nothing can stop God’s plan.
