Don't Forget to Be Thankful

Sometimes it is easy to be caught up with pride when everything is going great. You may not have a care in this world, but in the midst of all your success, do not forget to give God thanks. All the glory belongs to Him, and He deserves your praise for all He has done for you.

Jesus told a story of a foolish, rich man who did not give God thanks. He had a fertile farm that produced so many crops, the wealthy man decided to tear down his old barns and build bigger ones to hold his plentiful harvest. The rich man said he would sit back and say to himself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”

But God told the rich man, “You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?” It is vain to work for riches and have a poor relationship with God. Money and worldly possessions are not evil. God wants you to prosper, but when He blesses you, lift your hands to heaven and give Him all the glory.
