Thankfulness is Your Key to Victory
Do you want to experience victory in your life? Give God thanks. Stop looking at what you do not have and be grateful for what you do have. This year, 2020, has been a trying time because of the virus, but you should still give God thanks for His goodness. Not everything is right in your life, but there is a lot that is. You are still here, and as long as you have breath, you have an opportunity to bless God for His faithfulness.
When Jesus was dying on the cross at Calvary, two thieves were crucified next to Him. One of the thieves scoffed at Jesus. “If you’re the Messiah, save yourself and us while you’re at it,” he mocked. Even though he was dying, he still had a chance, to make it right with God. But he was ungrateful for this chance.
The other thief rebuked the ungrateful thief. “Don’t you fear God?” he said, “We deserve to die because of our crimes, but this man has done nothing wrong.” The thief turned to Jesus and said, “Lord, remember men when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus told the man that he would be with Him that day in paradise. The humble thief was grateful for the few minutes he had to repent, and because of that, God rewarded him with eternal life.
