God Will Do It Again

Has God come through for you before? Has He answered your prayer, opened a door, or provided when you didn’t know where help was coming from? Then don’t let what you are facing right now make you forget what He has already done.

You are believing God, standing on His Word, and then your mind starts asking questions. What if it doesn’t work out? The enemy reminds you of your failures and the times things didn’t happen the way you expected.

But faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You haven’t seen the answer yet, but you know God is faithful. Keep standing on His Word.
HE ALREADY KNOWS WHAT HE WILL DO

In John chapter six, a huge crowd followed Jesus because they had seen His miracles. Jesus went up a hill and sat with His disciples. It was nearly time for the Jewish Passover celebration.

Passover reminded them of how God delivered their forefathers from Egypt. And when those people needed food in the wilderness, He provided manna from heaven.

Now another multitude needed food, and the resources were not enough. But the same God who provided before was right there with them.

Jesus asked Philip where they could buy bread to feed everyone. John 6:6 tells us He asked this to test Philip, because He already knew what He was going to do.

Come on, somebody. Jesus was not trying to figure out the answer. He already knew.

When God tells you to do something, He is not expecting you to make your own way. He knows what you need. Your situation did not catch Him by surprise.
GET YOUR EYES ON THE WORD

Philip said that even months of wages would not buy enough bread for everyone.

There is nothing wrong with counting the cost. But you cannot allow what you see on paper to drain all the faith out of you.

Have you ever looked at the bills, the paperwork, and what you had available, and walked away discouraged? Nothing added up. That is where Philip was. He could not get past what was in front of him.

You have to get your eyes on the Word. Matthew 19:26 says that with God all things are possible.

When Pastor Aimee and I are believing God to come through, we listen to messages from men and women of God we respect. We listen to testimonies of how God made a way.

You have to feed your faith and starve your doubts. Remind yourself of what God said. Speak His Word over your situation.
DON’T DISCOUNT WHAT YOU HAVE

Andrew said there was a young boy with five barley loaves and two fish. Then he asked what good that little bit could do with such a huge crowd.

Thank God Jesus didn’t agree with him.

Sometimes I have to catch myself and say, “What are you thinking? God came through before.” When doubt starts taking hold of your mind, remind yourself of His faithfulness.

Jesus told the disciples to have everyone sit down. He moved forward. He did not let their doubts determine what happened next.

Then Jesus took the loaves and gave thanks. Before the crowd was fed, He thanked God.

Thank God for what you have. Don’t become so focused on what you don’t have that you overlook what He has put in your hands.

Everyone ate as much as they wanted. Afterward, the disciples gathered twelve baskets of leftovers.

They started with a little boy’s lunch. Look at what God did. Don’t limit Him to what you can calculate. He provided before, and He has not changed.

LET’S PRAY

Father, me and Pastor Aimee join our faith with everyone reading this newsletter. Restore their confidence in You. Break discouragement and help them stand on Your Word.

Provide for those facing financial needs. Open doors for those needing work. Touch those who need healing, and bring peace to their minds.

You already know what You are going to do. Help Your people remember Your faithfulness and thank You while they wait. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
