Your Next Level Will Be Undeniable
You have been asking God to open a door. But when that door opens, will you be ready?
I'm talking about the opportunity you have been praying for, the responsibility you want God to trust you with, the next level you believe He is taking you to. Your gift may get you there. But it takes the wisdom of God to keep you there.
Some people receive the opportunity and lose it because they don't know how to handle it. They have the ability, but they haven't worked on how they carry themselves. Saints, God wants to help us in those areas before we get there.
Let me show you something from the life of Solomon that can help you prepare for what you have been praying for.

Let me show you something from the life of Solomon that can help you prepare for what you have been praying for.

ASK FOR WISDOM TO HANDLE WHAT’S NEXT
In 1 Kings 3, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream and told him to ask what He should give him. Think about that. Solomon had an opportunity to ask God for anything. But he understood the responsibility in front of him. He was stepping into his father's place as king, leading a great people, and he knew he couldn't do it by himself.
He asked God for an understanding heart so he could lead the people and discern between good and bad.
That prayer pleased the Lord. Solomon didn't ask for riches or the death of his enemies. He asked for wisdom to handle what God had placed in his hands. And God gave him wisdom, along with riches and honor he hadn't asked for.
Are you listening to me? Before you ask for more responsibility, ask God for the wisdom to handle it. Before you let somebody into your inner circle, ask God for discernment. Everybody who smiles at you doesn't have the right motives. You need the Holy Ghost to help you recognize who belongs around you.
God answered Solomon's prayer, and the wisdom He gave him couldn't stay hidden. First Kings 4 tells us that kings from other nations sent people to hear his wisdom. What God had put in Solomon was helping people beyond his own country.
Then the Queen of Sheba heard about him. She traveled to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions. She wanted to find out whether everything she had heard was true.
The Bible says Solomon answered all her questions. Nothing was too difficult for him to explain. But watch this: she wasn't only paying attention to what came out of his mouth. She was looking at what his wisdom had produced.

LET GOD’S WISDOM SHOW IN YOUR LIFE
She saw the house he had built, the food on his table, the organization of his officials, their clothing, his cupbearers, and the offerings he made at the temple of the Lord. She was overwhelmed.
His wisdom was visible in the way things were done.
Saints, the way you present yourself matters. The way you handle your work matters. The people who represent you matter. Solomon's house was in order. His people were organized. What she saw supported what she had heard.
You may have the qualifications, but how are you showing up? Are you on time? Are you prepared? Are you taking care of the details? You are representing the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Give your best to what He has entrusted to you.
The Queen of Sheba told Solomon that she hadn't heard the half of it. What she saw exceeded what she had been told. Then she praised the Lord his God and gave him gold, spices, and precious jewels.
Solomon had asked God for wisdom, and now that wisdom was affecting people who had traveled from another nation.
That's why you cannot separate your prayer life from the way you handle your responsibilities. You can pray for a promotion and still need to improve how you work. You can ask God for an opportunity and still need to learn how to conduct yourself when you get there.

START PREPARING BEFORE THE DOOR OPENS
Who would say, “Pastor Sean, I'm willing to improve”?
Start with what is already in your hands. If you have been late, work on being on time. If things are disorganized, put them in order. If your attitude needs attention, let God deal with it. Don't ignore an area He is trying to help you change.
And learn to listen. James 1:19 tells us to be quick to hear and slow to speak. The Queen of Sheba came with questions, and she received answers. Don't talk so much that you miss the wisdom you came to receive. When God puts people in your life who can help you, be willing to learn.
I believe God is challenging somebody. Don’t wait until the opportunity arrives to start preparing. Ask yourself today, “What do I need to tighten up?” Then take that step. God is giving you wisdom for a reason. Let it show in your work, your decisions, and the way you treat the people around you.
Pastor Aimee and I love you, and we care about what God is doing in your life. Keep seeking Him. Your gift can open the door. God's wisdom will help you handle what comes next.
