What If It Only Takes 24 Hours?

Somebody reading this right now is tired of waiting.

God spoke something over your life. You didn't make it up. It came in prayer, it came in your Bible, it came in that moment when everything in you said yes, that's it. That's what I'm called to do. And you shouted. You wrote it down. You told your friends and family.

Then nothing happened.

A month went by. A year went by. Some of you, it's been ten years. And the enemy has been telling you, "You heard wrong. You're too old now. It's too late." That's a lie. The vision didn't die. God isn't finished with you yet.

There are two things you need to understand about the way God works out His plans.

FIRST, THE PROCESS.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 says, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables… For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come."

Though it tarry. God said it Himself. It's going to take a minute.

We love the part where Joseph stands in the palace. We skip the part that made him. Psalm 105:18 says, "Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron." That's the part nobody preaches. Then verse 19: "Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him."

Did you catch that? The same word you got excited about. The same word you wrote in your journal. That word is going to test you.

Joseph got a dream and it cost him. His brothers stripped him of his coat, threw him in a pit, and sold him as a slave. They meant it for evil, but the pit wasn't a detour. It was part of the process.

Isaiah 48:10 says, "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." Many are called. Few are chosen. The chosen are the ones who stayed in the fire and didn't give up on God.
BREAKTHROUGH IN 24 HOURS.

Here's the second thing, and this is where you should get excited. It took years to build Joseph. It took one moment to promote him.

In Genesis 41, Pharaoh had a dream one night. By morning he was sending for Joseph. They brought him hastily out. He shaved. He changed his clothes. And before that day was over, Joseph went from prisoner to prime minister over the most powerful nation on earth.

Somebody needs to hear this: it does not take God a long time. The preparation takes time. The breaking takes time. The dying to self takes time. But when God gets ready to deliver you, He can do it in twenty-four hours.

You've been in that pit so long you've started wondering if God forgot about you. He didn't. He promised in Hebrews 13:5 that He will never leave you nor forsake you. And in the meantime, He's building something in you that will last.

When Joseph finally stood before Pharaoh, he said five words that proved he could handle the promotion: "It is not in me." That's a man who died to his flesh. That's a man who quit trying to make it happen in his own strength. Joseph said, “God will give Pharaoh an answer…” And that's the man God can promote in a moment.

God can do in one day what you've been trying to accomplish for years. He can bring your name before people that will make your head swim. He can put you in rooms you never thought possible. Psalm 126 says, "When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream." That's the kind of God we serve!
Precious partner, if God has ever used this ministry to encourage your heart when you were in a pit and couldn't see your way out - I want to encourage you to support what God is doing.

A few weeks ago, one of our partners had a Joseph moment. He had been so discouraged he had lost all hope. But God used this ministry to strengthen his faith, and now we are rejoicing over what God did in his life.

We want to see more testimonies like his. Our daily morning broadcasts. Our weekly LIVE services. Our miracle services. We do all of it to see lives changed - and we want to see it happen in yours.

When you partner with God, He says, "Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

One blessing. One moment. That’s all it takes.

As you stand with us, I declare over you: every provision for your vision is released. What tarried is about to speak and not lie. And when God says now, it won't take Him long.

Don't give up on God, because He will never give up on you.

God Bless,
Pastors Sean and Aimee Pinder
