You're About to Get the Call They Never Expected to Make

Somebody reading this right now knows exactly what it feels like to be counted out. You've been overlooked. You've been talked about. Maybe it was your family. Maybe it was people in the church. Maybe it was circumstances you never even chose — a hand life dealt you before you were old enough to have a say in it. And you've been carrying that rejection for years, wondering if God even sees what you're walking through.

I want to tell you today — God sees you. And He's about to prove it.

THE BOY NOBODY WANTED
 
There was a man in the Bible named Jephthah. Judges chapter 11 tells us he was a mighty warrior — but his own brothers ran him out of town because of who his mother was. Something he had absolutely no control over. They told him, "You will not get any of our father's inheritance." They rejected him for a circumstance he never chose.

So, Jephthah did something powerful. He didn't fight. He didn't argue. He fled to the land of Tob — and Tob means good, pleasant, favorable. Glory to God, even in his rejection, Jephthah was running toward favor without even knowing it.

Here's what I want you to catch: the land of Tob became his training ground. Just like Moses in Midian. Just like David in the caves of Adullam. God will take you outside the system to prepare you for something the system could never give you. What looks like exile is often just preparation.

THE SAME PEOPLE WHO REJECTED HIM CAME LOOKING FOR HIM
 
Watch this. The Ammonites came to make war against Israel, and the very brothers who ran Jephthah out of town had to send for him. The Bible says they went and got him — the one they cast aside became the answer to their crisis. What they rejected, they now needed.
Job 8:7 says it: "Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase." Your beginning does not get the final word. God does. “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof” (Ecclesiastes 7:8).

If you've been walking through a season where people have counted you out, hear me — that season is not permanent. God has a way of turning the very thing meant to destroy you into the thing that positions you. God is about to prepare a table for you in the presence of your enemies.
