God Is About to SEPARATE YOU for Something NEW
Acts 13:1-12 | God Is About to SEPARATE YOU for Something NEW
Before God gives YOU the new thing, He sets YOU apart for it.
And being set apart rarely feels like promotion at first. It feels like separation. Like being pulled away from what was comfortable, moved out of a season YOU had finally gotten used to, singled out in a way YOU did not ask for. But what feels like being separated FROM something is almost always God separating YOU FOR something — and Acts 13 shows YOU exactly how that begins.
It did not start with a big announcement.
It started while a group of people were simply doing what they always did — worshiping, serving, staying faithful in the ordinary place they were already in. They were not chasing a new assignment. They were not striving for a promotion. And it was right there, in the middle of that faithfulness, that a specific word came and set two of them apart for something none of them saw coming.
Here is what most people miss. The assignment did not come to the ones who were restless and reaching for more. It came to the ones who were faithful right where they were. What God spoke over them in that room is the exact pattern for how He still separates people for their next assignment today — and most people miss their own calling because they are looking for it in the wrong kind of moment.
But that is only the first half of this account.
Because the moment they stepped into the new assignment, something was already waiting at the door to stop it. Not a mistake. Not a lack of resources. Direct, deliberate opposition — someone actively working to shut down the assignment before it could get off the ground, aimed at the exact person whose belief mattered most.
And how that opposition was handled is one of the boldest moments in the entire book.
There is a specific thing that happened to the one who stood in the way — something immediate, something undeniable, something that settled the matter instantly — and it reveals what God does with the resistance that shows up at the door of YOUR assignment. Because the resistance was not a sign they had gotten it wrong. It was confirmation they had gotten it exactly right.
What was the word that set them apart? What stood in the way? And what happened when it did?
Press play — because God is about to separate YOU for something new. This message will show YOU how to recognize the call when it comes, and what to do when resistance meets YOU at the door of it.
