The Resurrection of Jesus

Apr 12, 2026    Pastor Sean Pinder

What if the strongest proof of the resurrection is hiding in the details no one talks about? Luke's Gospel names women - Mary Magdalene, Joanna - as the first to discover the empty tomb, a choice no ancient storyteller would fabricate in a world that rejected women's testimony. Even worse, the male disciples laughed it off as nonsense, the kind of humiliating detail you only include if it actually happened. Then the evidence turns physical. On the road to Emmaus, Jesus doesn't just appear as some ghostly vision - he breaks bread and eats with two of his followers. Later, standing before the full group of disciples, he eats broiled fish in front of their eyes and unlocks their understanding of how every ancient prophecy had been building to this single, world-shaking moment.
