Seize the Moment
Today, Pastor Sean's daughter Mikayla Pinder delivers a word that will permanently change the way YOU respond the next time YOUR moment comes — and everyone around YOU tells YOU to stay quiet.
There are moments that do not come back.
They open. They stay open for a brief window. And what YOU do in that window — the moment where everything YOU have been waiting for is suddenly within reach — determines whether YOU spend the next season walking in the answer or replaying the moment YOU let it pass.
Mark 10 records one of the most urgent moments in the entire New Testament. Someone who had been sitting in the same condition for a long time — overlooked, pushed to the side, positioned where no one expected anything to change — heard that the one person who could change everything was passing by.
Not stopping. Passing by.
And in that moment, this person did something that everyone around them tried to shut down.
Here is what most people miss about this passage — the crowd did not encourage the cry. They rebuked it. The very people surrounding the one moment that mattered told them to be quiet, to stop, to stay in their place. And what happened next — the specific decision made in the face of everyone saying be silent — is the entire reason the outcome changed.
YOU have been in that crowd before.
The moment YOU felt something rising up in YOU — the moment YOU knew YOU needed to reach out, speak up, refuse to stay seated — and the voices around YOU, sometimes even the voices inside YOU, said the same thing that crowd said.
There is a specific thing this person said — and then said LOUDER when they were told to stop — that reveals exactly what YOU are supposed to do when YOUR moment is passing by and everyone is telling YOU to stay quiet.
And there is something about what happened right before the healing — a question asked, an item left behind, a movement made — that most people read past without realizing it holds the key to seizing the moment when it finally comes.
