God is Your Defense

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to compromise their convictions and bow to the king’s gold statue. Furious, the king threatened to cast them into a fiery furnace, but the three told the king God would deliver them. “And even if he doesn’t,” they said, “We will not bow.” When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the furnace, Jesus appeared with them in the fire. The three came out of the fire without event the scent of smoke on them. God is with you, even in the fire. He will bring you out, and you will not smell like or look like you went through what you went through.
