A True Visitation From God

Whether you receive a dream, prophecy, or spiritual message, you can discern whether you are in a divine visitation or not by comparing that revelation or supernatural experience to the Word of God. A true divine visitation will always line up with the Word of God.

After Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit descended on him in the form of a dove, and God spoke from heaven, confirming Jesus was his son with whom he was well pleased. Shortly afterward, Jesus was led into the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil. But instead of talking about the dove and the voice, Jesus overcame the devil with the Word of God. Even after he was resurrected from the dead, he proved to the disciples on the Road to Emmaus that he was the Christ by explaining the Scriptures to them. Nothing is above the Word of God. If Jesus always pointed to the Word of God, how much more do you and I need to consult with and meditate on the Scriptures?
